Name Meaning??? Help!

Hey! So I found this unique name and I keep hearing it and keep falling more and more in love with it... can anyone help me find the meaning for it? I google it and can't find it. I don't don't if I am typing in the wrong things to get the right search but maybe someone out there knows.

 The name is: Jarae (Juh-ray) 

I just really want to see what the meaning is before I use this name.

Can't find it w/ meaning. Here are some similar names for you. Jayla or Jael sound similar but aren't made up and actually have meanings.

Keep in mind all American names are just modern inventions; their meanings are not based on etymology or history, they are purposefully selected, quite often by the author of a baby names book, as I'm sure is the case with this name.

It looks and sounds made up, probably because it is. If meaning is that important to you, I would scrap it.

I went to college with a girl names Jere' (pronounced the same way).  Everyone mispronounced her name as Jerry and thought she was a boy. Are you using it for a boy or a girl?

Jere's mom said she got it from an actress on one of the 80's shows (I can't remember if it is Dynasty or Dallas, but I'm not having much google luck with that).

I think the name is pronounceable.  I don't really know what else people would say.... it seems kind of obvious to me!  

That being said, if you can't find a meaning for it you should find a name that is similar in sound or appearance and use that meaning.  You can have custom things made (etsy.com) with the meaning of your choice on it if you want something like that.
