Hi! I saw your post below about Paige's language developement. Just wanted to let you know that I'm a second year SLP student and SLPMEL and Halfnhalf on IF are SLPs if you had any questions.
I'm sure Paige is just fine but if I were you I would get her evaluated just to ease your mind. States are mandated to have early intervention programs so I'm sure you could get in to get a free evaluation. A friend of mine just took her daughter to get an evaluation because she's 14 months and isn't talking. It ended up that she needed glasses and her vision was very poor. You can't learn to talk if you can't see other speaking!
You are such a great mom for being concerned! Good luck with everything and congrats on your twin boys!!
Re: **LVBlvd**
Thanks. I am worried, but trying to relax about it until I talk to the pedi next week. She is trying to communicate. She points at everything and is very interactive with us (plays peek-a-boo, will go get her water if asked, gives hugs, etc) but she just isn't SAYING anything. I'm actually hoping they send us for an eval, but have a feeling they might make us wait until 18 months.
Does that seem normal to you, or should we push for an eval right now?
