They both look like nicknames to me. I guess Bryn is becoming more popular...not a huge fan. Maybe go with Alice or another Al- name, and plan to use the nickname Allie? That way, it will at least age well.
I think Allie is a nickname. I would pick Alice, Alexandra, Allison, etc and use Allie as a nickname. I could be a fan depending on which formal name you used. Brynn should have 2 n's... it just looks better that way. I'm not really a fan either way, though.

This is the third Brynn/Bryn/Brynna today...I'm becoming less and less a fan.

Bryn/Brynn/Brynna is the new Brianne/Brianna as far as I can tell.
ETA: Bryn is a boys name

Allie is nice as a nn, but if it were me, I'd make sure to use a more formal name as a fn.
Bryn is okay, but spelling it Brynn makes it look more even and well-rounded, if that makes any sense. Good luck!
ha! i was never a fan.
allie is a cute nickname, but i don't like it as a first name.
Ditto all of this. Love Allie as a nn. I am not a fan of nicknames as given names. Give your kid some options.
Thanks, all! The more I think about Bryn, the less I like it. It seems to be getting more popular these days, too, which makes me like it even less.
I get what you're saying about Allie being a nickname.
Ah, the pressure...
