1st Trimester

I sleep, more than I'm awake..

Is this normal? The fact that I have seen more of the horizontal side of my pillow than anything else the past week? I truly fall a sleep around 3 sleep til 5 get up for a little go back to bed around 9 wake up at 1230 am, then I can be up til 4 or so and then I could sleep again!

It doesn't help that I am not working, and am currently on my summer vacation from school. But seriously, I don't know how I could function while doing  those things, and being pregnant. I'm exhausted and the baby isn't even here yet!

  • Yep! I feel the same way!  I hardly get morning sickness, but I always feel exhausted.  I also have a 13-month-old, so whenever her naps, I nap too.  Somedays when I don't have time to nap with him, I can barely function the rest of the day!  Good news, you will feel much better in the 2nd tri!

  • I normally get to work earlier, so I sleep 20-30 minutes in my car and then at lunch I sleep another 40 minutes.  When I don't get my naps I'm super tired and nonfunctional :(. When will the energy come back?

  • Don't feel bad. I'm 7, almost 8, weeks and I can't get enough sleep either. I work a PM shift and I have had to go home early a few times for being sick and tired. I feel useless because I can't even function. I sleep for at least 9 hours a night and then feel like I need to take naps all day. Yesterday I threw up in the morning and actually felt better afterward and had more energy.
