I ran out of stationary but have 6 thank you notes left to write for my last baby shower.
Can I use no more stationary as an excuse not to write them at all?
BTW, I am totally joking, they just won't get thank you's on my monogrammed stationary. I'll have to buy something else for them.
Oh, and if people send/give gifts after the baby gets here should the thank you's come on my new (ordering it today) stationary or on the baby's personalized stationary? Where is Miss Manners when you need her?
Re: Can I use this as an excuse?
I'm in awe that you have monogrammed stationary.
I just sent thank yous on the note cards I got from Hallmark
Had. It's all gone now. My mom got me a HUGE box when I got engaged 6+ years ago and I never thought I would get through it.
I don't think it was too expensive, if I can find the website I'll let you know.
Babies are supposed to have their own stationary? I'M supposed to have my own stationary?
I'm an Emily Post FAIL I guess.
No you are not an Emily Post FAIL. I am just a huge preppy nerd. I've had some sort of personalized stationary on which I have written thank you's since I could write.
I'm probably as big a preppy as Preppy was just without the screen name (my first students--7th graders-- made me a Xanga page and my name there was PrettyPreppyPrincess, and it was perfect for me!).
This, exactly.
Although I do have some I got as a gift for my wedding. I was just planning on buying some Thank You cards at Target for my Baby Shower.

I just used "baby themed" thank you notes for any gifts, though I do have some monogrammed notes for other thank yous. That's a cute idea to have personalized stationary for your LO, though, and I imagine it will last a while, too, so it'll be good for birthday parties in the future.
