for my mom!  I have NO idea how she did it!  My dad was so hands off, my mom would take care of the 4 of us, did all the cooking, all the cleaning.  I now understand why she hand-washed all the dishes after dinner instead of putting them in the dishwasher- it was the ONLY time we, kids, left her alone!  I really wish I had appreciated her more while she was here.  I'm feeling like such a spoiled brat feeling like I need a break after 7 weeks with LO.

I totally know what you mean. There are 5 of us siblings. I love my dad dearly but he did squat to help her. I think that's just how it was, at least for the Europeans.

I too enjoy doing the dishes while DH watches her. It's just a time to get away for a few minutes, physically & mentally.

I agree.  I can not wait to get back to work to talk to adults at least part of the day.

I am one of six, and I totally get what you mean!  Oh my gosh.  I actually like pumping when Rom is home, because he watches her while I pump and play with my DS or PSP for the 10 - 15 minutes it takes.  Recently, he mentioned that I pump during the day just fine without his help, so maybe I can do that at night as well... I gave him a seriously dirty look.
