I have just started taking my temp again this week. Before I got pregnant in March, my temp was very low in the morning (96.4ish). When I got pregnant, it jumped to 97.7 and stayed around there. This week all my morning temps have been between 97.4 and 97.7. Now, here's my question. Since my temp is still so "high", does that mean that my body still thinks I'm pregnant despite a D&E on June 18 and a D&C July 19? I don't have any tests, and honestly I don't think I could stand to see another positive pg test at this point. Is there any other reason my temp would still be up there?

Re: Help please - charting after a loss
Did your doctor track your betas after the two d&c's? It's not often done, but I would think, as you had to repeat the surgery, they would have done so.
It can take a long time, sadly, for these levels to fall. There are a few ladies on TTCAL who have experienced this as well. They might be a good resource for you.
Also, most of the ladies there are charting after loss, so they are in general a wealth of information.
I am so sorry you are dealing with this.
That could be. I am charting to avoid right now and my temp is all over the place sometimes it's high, sometimes it's not. My guess is your body is just working on regulating it's self. Try to give it some time. And I'm very sorry for your loss.
It sounds to me like you've already o'ed for this cycle and that is why your temp is high. It's not the pregnancy that gives you high temps per se, but the presence of progesterone after you o. It's just that when you're pregnant, you have a higher level of progesterone so your temps stay high.
Make sense?
Oops, sorry I read that wrong. I thought the d&c was in June too.
What the other posters said. It will take a little while for your hormones to return to normal levels.
