I love Charlotte but DH wants a NN to shorten it. He likes the idea of Charlie. I don't like Char. Can't think of any others. Anyone else ever hear of any others? I think DH will agree on Charlotte Grace if I can come up with a NN he likes a lot.
I agree with pps about Lottie, but also agree with pp that you don't need a nickname... Charlotte is a short 2 syllables and beautiful on its own. Why do you need a pre-picked nickname?
I love Charlotte on its own. My SIL's name is Charlotte and most people call her that. Some friends call her Char and some family members actually call her Chachi.
DH and I discussed this last night (we are naming our daughter Charlotte). It was between Charlie and Lottie, but we are going with Charlie if we do end up using a nn. That's not a definite though, but we are not opposed to a nn.
The only nn I like for Charlotte is 'Charlie'. SO's dad has already said he plans on calling her that. I HATE the nickname 'Char'. I have heard of 'Lottie' but I am not a fan of that either.

I agree with some of the other posters. Charlotte is only 2 syllables (same as nicknames Lottie, Charlie, etc.), so I don't think it needs a nickname. If your husband insists, I prefer Charlie to the others. Good luck!

Charlotte will be our daughter's name too!
