Stroller for a 3.5 y/o and newborn

I just recently got a BFP and we are trying to figure out what to do. When the baby is due, our son will be about 3.5 y/o. There are times he likes to be in a stroller other times not as much. Does anyone have a recommendation on what type of stroller would be the best in this situation? I was thinking the Joovy or something with a sit and stand option? thank you for any advice on this.

  • I'd wait to see how he's doing once you get closer. We bought a sit n stand but honestly I never use it. My older daughter insists on walking and there's no point in lugging a giant stroller for just the baby so I take my old single. I've kept the new one thinking I'll use it for stuff like trips to the zoo or Disney, but I'm beginning to think it's more likely I'd just rent one of their's. Wait to see how much he'll sit once you're closer before spending the money. If you do want one the Joovy Ultralight is nice. I've got the MiaModa Compagno, liked it cause of the stand-up close and it just seemed smoother.

  • I agree to wait until its closer before deciding.  My son was 2 year and 8 months old when DD was born and I would have loved to go straight to a sit n stand but he runs around the stores like a wild animal if he is not confined to a stroller, so he wasn't ready for that.  I got the Maclaren double umbrella stroller instead, which I LOVE.  It is light and folds up super small.  It is also really easy to steer, even with one hand. Your son is gooing to be quite a bit older though, so you will probably be able to go with a caboose, which is what I plan on getting when my DS hits 3.5 years old.

  • Have you taken a look at the phil&teds strollers? https://philandteds.com/

My daughter is 3.5 now, will be 4 when the baby is due. Debating wether or not this might work. I love how it folds flat.
