Babies on the Brain

TCOYF question (perhaps a Tuesday question)

I'm at work and don't have my copy in front of me, and admittedly need to brush up.

My friend who just started reading it asked me if I ever temped during my period, and says that TCOYF says you should because you can get pregnant during your period.

I told her if it said that, then it is probably right but I think she may be reading it wrong?

What say you, BOTB?

  • I've never read the book, but I wouldn't think you could get KU when your lining is shedding

  • It's rare to ovulate during your period, but you're right, it is possible.  If it takes more than a few cycles of charting, then you'll begin to see a pattern and you can usually stop temping during your period.

Fertilization can happen (especially in the tubes) while shedding lining.  But yeah, rare.

  • I basically said what Robinsokj said, but told her I'm no expert.

    Yup.  This. :)
