Babies on the Brain

Twilight question

No, not the movie.

When you get a medical procedure done where they put you in "twilight," how aware are you of what is going on?  Also, do you remember what happened or is it just like a fuzzy dream?

I'll be put in twilight next week and am wondering what to expect as far as my alertness during the thing.

TIA

And for those of you that only clicked because I had twilight in the title:

  • Last time DH had a procedure done like that he was completely aware of what was going on most of the day. It was only at 6pm when he "woke up" (he had been doing things all day) that he told me he didn't remember anything from the day!

  • I have a pacemaker and my first surgery 5 years ago was supposed to be under that "twilight" state. Me- I totally passed out and had crazy dreams. I will say once I was in post-op I had a horrible case of vomiting and dry heaves. All surgeries sense have been under general.
