So she had 4 living children by the time she was 25 (I'm assuming they were all single births)?
Dude, you're slacking!
All single births. She is one of 5 and FIL is one of 9. DH has somethink like 70-80 first cousins.

I have 6 first cousins. Six. And four of them I haven't seen in almost 10 years because we don't consider our welfare-grubbing, cigarette-smoking, kid-having-but-not-taking-care-of, jobless, woe is freaking me "uncle and aunt" part of the family anymore.
If it makes you feel any better, DH is one of six. The first 5 were in 7 years. He and his brother are 13 months apart. He readily admits that he doesn't know how he and his brothers and sisters didn't drive his mom insane when they were kids.

Well, DAMN WEE! You're behind! Snap to it already!
My mom was 23 and had a newborn, a 2 year old and a 4 year old.

If the middle one had survived, they all would have been about a year apart. DH and his closest brother are 51 week apart.
