Re: VENT

  • Oh drat! Well I'd let it simmer for a while...isn't so sure isn't a definite no, so maybe hold up on discussing names for a little bit and reapproach it down the road. I know you're getting closer, so maybe just a week or so?

  • That stinks, but if he isn't totally opposed to it then maybe he will come back around and like it again.
  • I agree - just let it simmer for a while  :)

  • I say, pick the name you like, that you've both agreed on at one point, keep it to yourself, and when the big day comes, put it on her birth certificate.

Something tells me that your partner won't disagree after you've been through labor.  I know half a dozen women who have done this, including my mother - and there were no arguments made.  A happy woman, makes a happy man.

  • Ha thats an idea :-)

This, especially the boldfaced text. I think I could name our children anything, even my husband's least favorite names, so long as I told him, "it's the only way to  make me happy." Men--so easily manipulated: )

This. I think Helena is a lovely name too. Maybe you could compromise on Lillian Helena?

  • DH and I were on and off the fence with DD;s name last year. (Me more so off the fence.) At 36 weeks, I kind of gave up, and waited to see her in the hospital. (Where nurses forced me into picking a name when she was almost 72 hours old because legally they had to file something and it would have been a total PITA to change her name from Baby Girl M....ok don't wait until you're in the hospital!!)

Well, I was going to say, don't stress since you're this close to the end, but aack! Now I'm stressing for you! GL!
