Thanks for all the input ladies. I think Lillian is the winner. I know Elise is less common, but something about Lillian resonates with me.

Lillian Jane (Lily Jane) A--------

Lillian Welch A--------- (Lily)

 

Welch is my maiden name (now my middle). Jane is my great-aunt, who raised my father (who was orphaned). He is deceased and she is my only living relative from that side of the family. Like another grandmother to me.

Without reading any of the other text, I gravitated towards Lillian Jane. I'm not much for nick names, but I have to say that Lily Jane is lovely.

I understand wanting to use your maiden name (I also have mine as my middle name now and I'm so sad that I won't be passing down to our babies), but Lillian Jane sounds better than Welch
