For some strange reason, I like this name. My mom says it sounds like a hippy child and my husband says it's a good name for a Lab and a tree. lol! What do you girls think?
My dirty hippie vegan roots are going to show, but I like it. I'm actually surprised it wasn't on my teen name list. I'll admit that I did originally like it because of the movie, Willow (which is odd because Willow was a boy), but it probably helps that I know a little girl named, Willow, so it's not that far-fetched to me. Would I use it - no, but I wouldn't side-eye someone who did.
Oh, and it's currently number 315 on the SSA and making a steady climb.

I imagine they were going for birch tree with Birch, but birching is another name for beating someone with a stick.
I like it! I knew a little girl named Willow years ago and she was the sweetest thing! I like it even without that connection, but I just know that any girl with that name has to be adorable and sweet. :-)
i used to love this name until it got popular. well, i still love it but it's no longer on my list. i say yes as long as you don't mind the popularity [and possible rise in the future]. willa is a close option but not exactly the same vibe if you're going for a nature name. i also love meadow but the sopranos ruined it for me.

a) reminds me of the 80s movie Willow
b) makes me think of someone very very hippie
c) while I don't hate it, it wouldn't be a name on my top 100 list and I like fairly "old" names.
Love Willow...
and yes im hippish

Me too. Of course, I'm also obsessed with Alyson Hannigan, so that's where my mind goes.

I love it! Willow is currently our number one girl name, and the only one we can agree on so far.
As for popularity, 315 on the list doesn't count as too popular for me. Sure beats my other personal favorite Ava (sitting pretty at number 5).
The 'Buffy' freak in me immediately thinks of Willow Rosenberg...
And I LOVE the name. So pretty.
