Need some quick info- drug related

Birth mom tested positive for prescription opiates (pain meds for teeth according to BM).  Baby is showing some signs of withdrawls.

Where I can I quickly evaluate risks....????  Effects???
Any personal info to share I'd appreciate it

Speak with your Dr.. DD was drug exposed thoughout and is fine so far. What does your SW say?

I agree with PP. Call your pedi or your family dr. If that isn't going to work, can you call the SW for info?

My sweet little DS was drug exposed throughout the pregnancy and is just fine now. His BM was on a pretty high dose of Methadone. I know it's scary stuff to hear, but it's good to be informed.

Oh, had I seen this earlier! I have two handsome boys that one was addicted to opiates and the other was just exposed. Both happy and healthy babies.

I'm like you.  I have a handsome boy who was drug exposed (marijuana and meth early in pregnancy) and smoking throughout.  Ben is the best little guy around.  Sometimes you have to take the risks, but you also have to be honest with yourself and know what's comfortable for you.
