Thanks for the well wishes today ladies. The appointment went really well. The ladies there are so nice and very knowledgeable. It wasn't as scary as I thought. I'm a bit overwhelmed by it all, but they gave me several packets of info, so I hopefully can keep it all straight. I loved the fact that they had baskets filled with tampons and pads in their bathroom, for some reason that just tells me that they get it.
Number one thing to do is to get Dh kariotype testing, they are worried since his mom and sister both have had m/cs. They are sort of worried about how close his parents are. They have also ordered a SA and DH is being a trooper about that, but maybe he hasn't really realized what it will require. We have the option of genetics counseling, which I need to learn more about.
They did some more blood work for me today. They are a bit concerned because my FSH level is high. I don't know what the test is called, but it's to look to see about my egg reserve. They also did an internal u/s today and everything looked good, except my ovaries are show lots of PCOS symptoms.
I'll be going in for cd3 blood work as well as and HSG, which I'm so not excited about. She asked that I meet with a local nutritionist to try to figure out a diet plan to help with PCOS, so I'll make some calls yet this week.
She has some concern about Fragile X Syndrome, but said we can wait a little while before we have to worry about it, we'll do the other stuff first.
Assuming everything comes back good, I'll be doing Femara and Gonal F. She said I have a short time left and she doesn't want to waste anymore time on clomid. It also sounds like I'll get lots of monitoring, so that makes me feel better.
The u/s today showed no hope of Oing this month, but she said to go ahead and try while we wait for all the results, it won't hurt anything.
She also really recommended this book, which I ordered.

Re: Update: Back from the RE (super long)
I am soooo glad it went well. I'm also really glad your RE is being aggressive, since I you've mentioned being worried about timing. It's nice when your docs are on the same page as you.
It sounds like you have a great plan in place!! Of course keep us updated...

Edit because I didn't look at the book link until after I posted:
I am currently in a 10 week Ali Domar mind & body group that focuses on deep regular relaxation (not that stress causes infertility, but that infertility causes stress). It's awesome. Her relaxation cds are good, though I'll admit I've struggled trying to keep my mind from wandering. I'm only in week three or four and I've already noticed changes in how I'm coping. My DH is really into it too. I hope you find her book useful. :0)

So glad it went well! Sounds like you have a good plan so far too. I hope you get some answers from the testing. Good luck with everything!
We just did the genetic counseling and it was really helpful. The appt was less than an hour and we went through the results of both of our chromosome tests and our family history. Basically they are just trying to find out if there are any diseases in your family that may be hereditary. They also decided to a few other tests that my first RE didn't do. Let me know if you have more questions about it.
