Sorry ladies... been awhile. Busy with my lil man! I posted this on the BF board- but knew you momma's would have a wealth of info on the subject!
Tomorrow is first day back to work... so we will see how it goes. DS used to wake up at 6am to feed, then back to sleep until 10am or so. He now sleeps from 9pm or 10pm until 9am every morning. Wondering if I should wake to feed him before the sitters (get there 7:45ish) or just pump and have the sitter feed him?
If I were to feed him before the sitters, I would wake him up at 6am and nurse him in bed- then jump in the shower and get myself ready. I dont like the idea of waking him to eat, but dont want him to starve either. I am sure he is going to fall asleep on the car ride over there and sleep awhile until his 9am feeding anyways. But, is it horrible to just dress him and head out the door without feeding first?
Just wondering what works best for you? Opinions?
He is not going to a "day care". Just shuffled between the 3 grandmas.
Re: feed before childcare drop off?
My mom is our daycare. I don't do anything except pick DD up out of her crib and carry her to the car (unless her diaper is really full). I have DD at my mom's at 5am. I do good to get myself and a sleeping baby out the door that early:)~ In your case I think I would let him sleep, he wont starve. I know when I first went back to work (dd was 8 months) I made a point to get to my mom's early (during training I did not have to be there as early) so I could change her and I give her her bottle and hold her for a few. I did all of that at my mom's b/c it made me feel less rushed.
If you are thinking of waking him b/c you think he's hungry, I would not. If you want to wake him so you can have that time with him then why not.
Good Luck with your first day back!!!
