Can you use Lotrimin and Triple Paste together?

DS has a nasty diaper rash and I think I read somewhere that Desitin is great for prevention but not for treatment.  I'm not sure if it's yeast or not, but I figured this couldn't hurt to try.  I just don't know if I can use the two together or not.  Should I just use the antifungal and see, or should I use the two together?  It looks like DS has one spot (very tiny) where the skin is broken.  That's the only reason I'm thinking to use the Triple Paste (or A&D ointment).

YES! I'm a pediatric derm PA...you def. need an antifungal cream (like Lotrimin) b/c yeast colonates in the diaper area within 24 hours of a rash...and you need a barrier, like Triple Paste, so that's perfect! Use every diaper change, no baby wipes, just warm water and mild soap.

yep...put the lotrimin on first to treat the yeast area and then triple paste all over to act as a barrier on top.
