What do you think of Micah?

Our son's name is Mason and I always liked the idea of having siblings who's names start with the same letter.  Opinions on Micah?

It's our dogs name, so I don't see it as regular name anymore.  I had a student with that name last year, and everytime I called on him I thought of our dog.

Other than that, it's not a bad name.

I really like it for boy or girl.  I had a girl student last year named Micah and she was very very sweet.  It goes well with Mason, IMO.

I love it as a sibling name. I worked with a woman named Mica but pronounced the same, so it has a good connotation with me.

I really like the name Micah.  Personally, I was thinking of it as a girl's name but everyone I ask about it says they only know of boys named Micah.   I wouldn't hesitate to name either a boy or girl it.

I like Micah a lot. However, I'm not really a fan of using names that all start with the same letter for siblings. My BFF is named Melissa, she's the oldest of five, and they all have names with M and 7 letters in their name- on purpose. No one remembers who is who!

Although I'm sure you're not planning on having five kids.... so do whatever you want.

NMS. Names like Micah, Jeremiah, Isaiah, etc. just don't do it for me because all I think of are the biblical prophets. But that's just me.

my ds is micah! You would be surprised that so many people misspell it, don't understand it, have never heard of it, think it's michael, or think he's a girl.
