Motion sickness medication during travels

It looks like Dramamine is the drug of choice during pregnancy - according to my online searches.  I usually take Bonine - which doesn't have the same "OK!" as Dramamine.  What do you ladies take when traveling?  Any other suggestions?

  • I took a cruise a few weeks ago and my OBGYN ok'd Dramamine.  But there are prescriptions you could get too.

  • I get horrible motion sickness and always take Dramamine when I travel. DH and I had a trip planned to Mexico, and wouldn't you know, I finally get my BFP for baby #3. I was hesitant to take anything, but my doctor said not only is Dramamine fine to take, she actually recommends it to women who have regular ol' morning sickness. But we get so much "don't do this, don't do that" during pregnancy that I was still hesitant and decided to try those pressure point wrist bands on the flight down. It was okay part of the time, but the last hour of the flight was absolutely awful. I took Dramamine (less drowsy) on the way home, and it was a MUCH better flight. That's a long-winded way of saying go with the Dramamine. It works, and--more importantly--doctors give it a big thumb's up!

  • I take Zofran now instead of dramamine since mine is usually motion sickness and nausea all together. Zofran works great and does not affect the pregnancy!
