Why would you name a kid Havana? 

I definitely don't like that as a name.

i agree...i'm not really a fan of naming a baby havana.  but savannah is one of my favorites!

Savannah gets my vote only because it's a place name that has finally been recognized as a given name. Havana looks like you're trying to cross Heaven with Savannah. Plus unlike it's 1950s film associations, Havana isn't a happy place right now.

This. Havana seems like a decent choice, until you think about the politics involved and the lives of those living there, then it seems depressing. I would go with Savannah, a familiar, beautiful, not-too-popular name.
