I'm so not creative when it comes to feeding my DS. Anyone have any menu plan they follow for their one year old? He loves to eat finger foods, but I'm not sure if I'm giving him all the nutrients he needs. Is there someplace that can break down what he needs? TYIA!

Re: Menu ideas for one year old
I don't have a specific plan to follow, I just try to make sure that at each meal (well, lunch and dinner) she gets a protein, whole grain, veggie and fruit. Here are some examples of some of her favorites:
Pasta salad w/whole grain pasta, grilled chicken and peas with fruit on the side
Grilled ham and cheese on wheat bread with fruit and veggie
Chicken quesadilla on whole wheat tortilla with black beans and fruit
Chicken meatball with slice of wheat bread and fruit and veggie
Pretty basic, but she likes it. She loves fruits and veggies and I'm a firm believer that it's because we have offered them to her at every meal since she started table food. Check out weelicious.com for some great healthy toddler food recipes.
