Hi ladies,
I am looking for daycare/in-home/SAHM in Dundalk, Essex or White Marsh area. I am due in December and will need childcare the beginning of February. I've met with a few childcare providers and wasn't that impressed with them. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.
Re: Childcare recommendations
My son goes to Parkville Nazarene Christian Day Care which came highly recommended by many ladies on TB--we are currently searching for new care. Their infant room is fairly new and the teachers all started in January--I have a feeling that the recs that I received came from mothers whose children went to the center as toddlers and up, not infants.
I don't want to give negative feedback about them on a public forum but the fact that we are searching for new care should provide you with my opinion of them. Finding day care in our area is EXTREMELY tough so good luck to you!
I LOVE Parkville Nazarene. Actually, I recognize your child's name My son was in the infant room at the same times as yours- his name is Landon. My boys don't go there anymore because I decided to be a stay at home mom, but if I ever go back to work I wouldn't consider sending them anywhere else.
The infant room I guess is fairly new- I have a child that is 26 months old and he started in the room when he was 4 months. At that point the infant room hadn't been open long. We were beyond pleased with the level of care we received with Robbie. Any time I had even the tiniest issue the directors were happy to help sort it out. The providers in that room were wonderful!
When my 2nd child came along 15 months later we were still happy with the care. In particular Ms. Rebekah was outstanding. She helped me with sleep and feeding issues we were having at home and I'm so thankful for her advice! My boys were always happy and smiling when I picked them up. I can't ask for much more than that!
Sharmurph- have you talked to the directors about any problems you are having? They were always so kind and helpful to my family. I know that the directors have worked there for a very long time and have even had their own children in the infant room.
OP-Sorry, I have no recs for in-home care in that area, but there are many centers.
Sharmurph- Parkville was on our list too, but we decided to go with another center. I am sending you a PM now with some questions if you don't mind.
