Some new combos I've been pondering this week:
Arden Caroline (? different mn)
Arden has been my favorite name since I was 16, and it is by FAR by absolute favorite name, nothing else comes close for me. More a matter of getting DH to warm up to it, so we'll see ![]()
Caroline has personal/family connections, but open to other ideas.
Avery Charlotte, Avery Grace ~ again, very common these days, especially Avery Grace
Harper Kate ~ I'm not the biggest fan of Kate, I mean it's cute but not really my style, but poor DH likes the more common/"normal" names, so.
Leighton ~ I love this name, it seems to be becoming more popular/trendy also - it reminds me of the famous Fred Leighton jewelery, but I'm guessing it's popularity is inspired by Leighton Meester. Not sure for a mn.
For mns, I think something classic/pretty would work best - Caroline, Charlotte, Josephine, etc. Any suggestions?
What do y'all think?
Re: Back to the drawing board:
I really love the more "classic" options (i.e. Caroline, Charlotte, Josephine, etc); however, I have to say that Arden is very pretty.
The rest are nms.
Arden Caroline, Arden Charlotte, or Arden Josephine all work. Of course, I always think that it matters more if the first and last names go together more, as mns are so rarely utilized.
I love love love Arden. It's one of my favorite names for girls. I think Arden Caroline is really pretty.
I like Avery, I think I like Avery Grace a little better than Avery Charlotte.
I think Harper Kate is cute, but I might go with Harper Katherine instead (just my opinion).
Leighton is NMS, but I like the rest
None of her names are "boy" names...
My LO's name is Arden, so of course I love it too! I like all of your mn options (Arden Caroline is the best IMO), but I don't like your other first/middle name combinations b/c they're all too trendy.
Avery orginated as a boys name, Arden is a surname that is listed for both boys and girls at the moment.

Well, I definitely prefer the surname-y, unisex type names.
I am pretty much set on Arden Caroline if DH will agree to it. (He still likes Alyssa, which I do not like one bit.. it feels so 80's to me! It's very dated, IMO.)
However, I really don't know what to do as far as a second choice. I love Harper Katherine! What a lovely suggestion! But now after reading this board, I fear Harper really ~is~ the next Madison, and I do not want that at all.
