do you think this name would age well? I'm trying to imagine my future dd filling out job applications and i don't know if it's too old fashioned or just cute on a little kid. thoughts?

i think now a days names are so different and unique that what experience and schooling would matter on her resume rather than a name (is that naive sounding!?)

i think its cuuuute tho
DD = darling daughter
And yes, it's a little naive- people make snap judgements based on first impressions and they always will. Your name has a lot to do with this.
That being said, I like Lola, but definitely don't think it ages well, particularly for the 20s-40s. I see it as a little girl, and then straight to Grandma Lola.
Not a fan of Lola. I have only heard it as a dog's name. But my DH's grandmothers name is Luella, and I think that is really pretty. Her nn is Lu but you could do Lulu if you wanted. Just an extra suggestion! GL!

DD = darling daughter <------------- ahhhhhhhh thanks for the update! haha just getting the lingo!
i like the name lola, however, i don't think many girls/women could pull it off/do it justice.
i think a girl needs to have a certain look to go with a name like lola - basically, nothing less than gorgeous with dark features.
I think Lola is cute, but probably prefer it as a nickname. As a stand alone name, it reminds me of Lolita and sounds a little low-class to me.
I've heard it as a nn for Lourdes, which is pretty.
There's a glossary on the left side - it will help you out a lot! (Of course, not everything is there)
As for Lola..."her name was Lola, she was a showgirl"
NOT going to age well.
This. You could always name her something else and give her Lola as a nickname.

I'm partial to the name because my 4-legged baby girl is named Lola! (in siggy!)
However, I do have an aunt named Dolores and Lola is a nickname for that name so we grew up calling her Lola.
IMO, I love it as a nickname for a person, but not so much as a stand-alone name.
Good luck!
