Holy Heparin pump!
I posted a few days ago that none of the pharmacies in my area are able to order heparin injectibles, so my doc's solution was to order a pump instead. Theoretically, it should be easier than the shots because it's programmed to give a steady dose, and I'll only need to re-inject every 3 days instead of twice daily.
They sent the kit today via courier, and then a CNP came by tonight to give me instructions on how to use it. Holy cow, the book of background info and instructions is huge, and she was here for two hours. For the Lovenox shots, I had about 30 seconds of instructions! I didn't realize how much was involved with this pump. Anyone else use this thing in place of the shots? Like it/hate it versus the shots?
