healthy snacks

Can anyone recommend any healthy snacks?  I always get a craving for something sweet after dinner.

Non-fat yougert, fruit with whipped cream, baked apple? I am drawing a blank for sweet yet healthy! :) Not the most healthy but have you tried skinney cow ice cream sandwhiches? About 150 calories and really good!

Yogurt is always good. How about a piece of fruit or a bowl of cereal?

Last night we had homemade frozen yogurt with fresh strawberries & raspberries, and shredded coconut.  It definitely took care of my sweet tooth and it's yogurt & fruit so it has health benefits! :)

Lately I have been getting cravings after dinner for something sweet too, so I keep reduced sugar Chewy bars in the house and 100 calorie nutty bars.  I also like the Special K chocolate cereal with skim milk and a banana.  I have tried eating fruit and it just does not satisfy me!  I also like the skinny cow ice cream bars.

If i crave something sweet I grab a twizzler (or....four) or a few sips of a root beer really do the trick!

Sometimes brushing my teeth works too!

Saw this on a blog and am now addicted...banana soft serve.  The ingredients are...frozen banana.  Seriously, that's all.  Just freeze a banana (without the peel) and then put it in your food processor.  It will get kind of crumbly at first, but keep processing.  Sometimes I add a splash of skim milk.  It gets really creamy and smooth and is the consistency of soft serve ice cream!  I also add frozen cherries and my son loves it, too!  Other add-ins I've seen on blogs (but haven't tried) are cocoa powder, peanut butter (or any nut butter), and other frozen fruits.

this is a great suggestion! I used to freeze bananas all the time and eat them as a snack in the Summer but I never thought to put them in a processor. I'll give it a try with some add-ins Smile Thanks for sharing!
