I used to have mine blocked until some of my friends became unreachable except by text.  Not friends I contact regularly, though, so I send MAYBE 4 texts a month average.

I'd love to see that poll broken down by age. I'm 35 and it's not that I don't know how to text, I just don't do it often...like maybe 2x/week with the only person I know who texts; my SIL.

My mom is 57 and texts just as much as I do.

I have texting blocked on my phone BUT I do have a GoogleVoice number that allows people to text me, but it sends the "text" via email, which I do have on my phone. So I technically do "text" but it's actually through email, and even then it's only to my DH when he can't answer the phone or to my mom. I would say less than 5 "texts" a week, and zero until about 4 months ago.
