I found Maternity clothes online that i love on sale from old navy. DH bought some for me but he said " I'm afraid I'm going to buy them and then they will be to small when you get really big" .....
I understand that, but I'm still going to need something to wear ... when i get "really big" .
So my question is, how were maternity clothes when you were near the end of your pregnancy with 2... did they still fit alright or did you have to resort to other options, if so what ?
Re: Maternity clothes near the end
i gave birth in june so i mostly wore maxi dresses towards the end - not even maternity ones- just ones that had stretch that fit over my huge belly easily- and i wore the rest of the summer after having them.
i was size 14 when i got pg- so my maternity clothes were BIG - thankfully they make shirts better now to fit over huge bellies- when i was pg with my first the longer T styles were not in - and nothing fit over my belly even at 36w with a singleton!
you'll just want things that are long enough to cover the belly.... and some big panel jeans.... or ones that go under the belly are good at the end, too.
if things are too small and you can't return- you can always wear them right after giving birth, too.
The few things that I bought, I got maternity one size up from my regular size from Gap and Isabella Oliver. They still fit but, I've only gained 19 lbs so far.
My experience with Emerson was that I did have to get bigger clothing toward the end. I was working up to the end with her and had to have the clothes.
You will probably need mat clothes for two seasons. So just don't buy them for a season ahead. I found bigger clothes at KMart (which were great for being at home) and JC Penney's for work. I did grow out of the Gap and Motherhood stuff at the beginning of 8 month. I also carried to 40 weeks, so I was ginormous.
My brother lives in King George, Va.
I was a size 8 before getting pregnant. Most medium maternity shirts fit me until around 26 weeks. Then I needed a large. Now I could really use an XL but I'm not going to buy any more maternity clothes at his point so I just make due with the 4-5 shirts that actually fit me. At this point, I like the ones that are gathered at the bottom so that I can be sure my big belly isn't poking out For pants I've stayed a Medium all along.
I didn't have much luck with Old Navy, everything I bought ther fit weird. I liked Motherhood for pants and I actually really liked Target for shirts and dresses. I splurged on a few things at Nordstrom and loved it all - wish I could have afforded to get all my mat, clothes there.
MoMandA I sent you a PM -
Thanks for the help ladies i'm trying to tell DH that I won't be able to fit in anything I have now, but maternity clothes will be the best bet after that
