New to The Bump

TTC - May Have...but confused....

I'm new to the "bump" and message boards all together - so I'm hoping I to find some incite on soon to-be mommys, mommys, and just anyone who has or is going through something similiar to what I am......My dilema is that my last period started on July 3, I've been utilizing the online calendars and tracking ovulation but decided to buy the ov kit - which I did and was able to get my LH Surge reading no prob.....made love with my husband a ton...I mean soooo much it - it was almost toooo much :) anyhow my LH Surge was indicated on the 16th and 17th - which is the same as when the calendars were too - since going off the Nuva Ring in Feb I have been pretty regular with my periods (I should add) on the 18th and 19th - my breast hurt sooo bad - very sensative to touch, on the 24 and 25th had some cramping - but nothing too horrible - now just Monday the 26th....I went to the bathroom and had very light brownish/pink discharge - had it off and on throughout the day - but only was present when I would wipe - nothing on my panties - now today it's gone I'm not susposed to start again for another 8 days could this be implantation bleading - have any of you experienced this - I tried to calculate and have read articles upon articles and from what I've read it is possible but I don't want to get my hopes up.......PLEASE HELP!!!

  • Ditch the ovulation calendars. They assume a perfect 28-day cycle and ovulation each month on Day 14, and that isn't realistic for a lot of women. Get a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility instead, and/or sign up for the tutorial on fertilityfriend.com. You'll learn a lot.

Your LH surge on the 16th and 17th means you likely ovulated on the 17th. Sore breasts 2 days later would have nothing to do with pregnancy; it's more likely just post-ovulation breast pain.

You may or may not have implantation bleeding. It's actually quite rare, happening in maybe 3% of the population. I wouldn't make any assumptions either way based on that.

Just take a deep breath and wait until your period is late. If it is, take a pregnancy test. If it's not, chalk this experience up to how this works sometimes. I've had cycles where I had every phantom pregnancy symptoms known to man, and there was no way I was pregnant.

    Good luck.

  • Hello!!

I'm sorta in the same boat...I'm really confused about ovulation too...especially since I just came of the BCP. I'm new to the Bump too! The pill really messes with your ovulation cycles...ugh. Just like above, ignore ovulation calculators...no women has a perfect 28-day cycle, so it's hard to determine when you're ovulating.  Get to know your body and you'll figure things out...but don't go crazy in TTC...have fun with it.  :-)
