Sorry for the repeat question, as I'm sure this has been asked numerous times on this board!!
When did/will you register for the baby, if at all? I was going to wait until the 19th week, after my anatomy scan (September 9th). I just got a coupon for a free gift card if I register before August 31st, so I'm thinking of doing it earlier, around the middle or end of August, putting me at around 16-17 weeks. I figured I can at least open the registry then to get the deal and register for the gender neutral things we'll need. Just curious when you all plan on registering!
Thanks in advance
Re: registry question
I started one on-line pretty early on.
I didn't go to the store and register until 20ish weeks.
The only thing I would worry about, in your case, is the fact that BRU and Target (and probably BBB) are in the middle of shifting from summer to fall inventory. Also, all of the new baby gear will be coming out in September after the ABC kids expo.
So, you may run into a problem of registering for things that are discontinued before your showers and then having to update everything.
I waited to do my registry until I found out what I was having, so I didn't start until 25 wks. We did go plenty of times to BRU and BBB and PPK (that's where I registered we did a very small one at BRU) to just get an ideas and see what the stores were like. But I didn't really do it until after 25 wks.
Also, as LCB said, BRU and BBB and even PPK are starting to flip over there stores now for fall/winter stuff. I was in both this past weekend. You can get some great deals on summer stuff though and the sales are through the roof!
I started early, around 15 weeks, because my mom and BFF from back home would be throwing my a shower when I would be 23 weeks. We registered at BRU and picked things neutrally and things that didn't matter what color they were. We went back the next week after an unoffical u/s told us the baby was a girl. I'm glad we did it in two trips because it's a huge store and I got so tired and overwhelmed.
I would say that if the gift card deal is worth it (and since when is free not worth it? lol), start your registry now and only add a few things...bottles, onsies, things like that. Later you can go back and really add once you know what you're having.

I think after the anatomy scan is pretty normal but you can always start it before then to get the gift card. Registering can be really overwhelming and take a lot of research so starting early is a good thing, it gives you plenty of time to read online reviews and change your mind if you want to. It doesnt all have to be done in one shot!
Have fun!
