With DD, we didn't use the potty chair just used it as a stool. She used the rings for the toliet much better.
DS1 needed some incentive to poop on the potty, so we let him try the potty chair and it worked for a while however we don't need it anymore. I could make it back a stool however I wonder if him seeing it will lead back him wanting to use it. Currently its stored in the garage.
I will eventually have another PTer...countdown to "no more diapers ever" is on.
Should I keep or toss the chair ? ...something sounds icky about it but also seems wasteful to get rid of.
Re: Would you use the same potty chair for more than one child?
Yep, DD used the same chair that DS had. The one he had sounds like what you're describing; you can use it as a little potty or it turn into a potty ring and the base makes a stool. We mostly used it as the latter with DS and when DD PTd, we did the same and used it as a potty ring upstairs. We bought another potty ring for downstairs.
I guess I didn't see any reason not to re-use it. There was nothing wrong with it and DS didn't use it for very long anyway.
I would. I have to share my potty with DH, haha. But seriously, I clean the potty every night with wipes, so it's probably cleaner than our toilet.
