Would love to hear anyones experience delivering at baptist?? Also what were your experiences with the visitor policies?? are they strict or more lenient???
I delivered my DD there in Feb. 2009 and had a great experience. Every person I encountered was so friendly and helpful. I will be delivering DS there in a couple of weeks. I don't remember them being strict about visitors at all.
I delivered both my sons at Baptist Hospital and I had a great experience...the nurses and everybody was super attentive and helpful. I would say that hey are more relaxed when it comes to visits.
I delivered at Baptist and loved it. The visitor policies were fine when I was there, but that was last year. As long as the visitors came during regular visiting hours, it was fine.
I delievered at Baptist in March and they were really lenient with visitors... which I actually did not like. At one point I had like 8 people in my room and it was so overwhelming, I just wanted to sleep lol If you don't want that many people, let the nurses know in advance! Other than that, it was a great experience. The birthing room was big and cozy, didn't feel clinical at all. My postpartum room was nice, but small- we got the only one without a tv in it! But it was a pleasant experience all around :-D
I also delivered my 1st at Baptist and will go for round 2 there in a couple of weeks. I agree with all the ladies, visitor rules are pretty lenient overall. In case anyone is interested, you can bring a toddler in if they are the sibling; otherwise they are apparently a bit stricter on the age group of kids coming in. The nurses/staff are great! The rooms are nice...the only complaint I have in this department is that my postpartum bed was one of those that moved (for patient's with ulcers, etc.) and it did not let me sleep at all and they could not change it! Overall, the experience was very positive!
