Too 90's?  And does it sound too similar to Kelly?  That's my name, and I don't want it to sound like I'm trying to give him my name without actually giving him my name.

I do think that it is declining in popularity and may end up with a "dated" 70s/80s/90s feel. 

It IS similar to your name in that both names contain the same letters.  But the sound is different enough to avoid confusion.  I doubt most people will think you were attempting to name him after yourself.

Oh, and I like the name Kyle a lot.  I'm considering it as a mn if this little one is a boy.

I like it...one of the few K names I like. Easy to say, spell and it's heading out at 100 on the SSA list. Every Kyle I've known has been a good one.

My 3 year old is a Kyle Benjamin.  I think we have met 1 other Kyle around his age.  It's a great name!

My name is Kelly & my son is Kyle. Never any confusion with us. I am a teacher & have had 4 Kyles in 8 years...of course all after I had my son! Good thing they were all good kids.
