Turn over?

I just had a thought.  I'm fairly new here, only since June of this year, but for those of you who have been on this board for a while, how often do you see turnover in this board?  What I mean is, are you still seeing the same names on this board, month after month, or do people graduate up to pregnancy boards pretty regularly?  Do you see more new bumpies here than you see graduates?

I've been on since February and right after I signed up it seemed like there was a wave of BFP and now it's sorta tapered out a little.  I think it's hard to judge because (at least in my experience) there are a lot of break cycles while TTC (not sure if it's age related or not).  I know I had to cancel some IUI cycles because of too many follies and then breaks for over stimulated ovaries and one break because of my own stupidity!! (forgot to start stim. meds. on CD3)  

I guess what I'm saying is even though we've been trying for a little over two years I haven't really had 24 "shots" at it.  Know what I mean?

I've been on for about a year and agree it varies. People do graduate from here or move in another direction (adoption, step away from trying). There are some ladies who have been on here much longer than me. I think the variation is also because some are trying naturally, while others are going through varying degrees of treatment.

I was on here very briefly as while TTC DS as I got my BFP the month I turned 35. I checked in sporadically until a few months ago when I started thinking of TTC #2, and have since tried to check in once a day. I've seen lots of girls come and go and, sadly, some of the same girls that were here almost two years ago.

Umm Stever, I think you would be talking about muah! I have been here almost two years. ALthough I changed SN..it really varies. I am not sure if you are looking for constant turnover or not. There is some turnover but certainly many of us have been here for a long while.

I'm with Baze...been here almost 2 yrs also.  It seems like we had some great successes at the beginning of the year and not so much lately....hopefully that will change.

I've been here since Oct 08.... I've seen people come & go.  Sometimes it is just taking a break from TTC and sometimes it is because of BFP's.

I agree...there were some successes at the beginning of the year (Jan - Apr) but not so much lately.  I'm hoping that changes real soon!!

I was on here for a while when we were TTC #1 (took 14 cycles) and am back now for #2....  during that time, there were all different reasons people left (as PP said), and there are some names that I recognize from a while ago~  I just depends on your situation.  (but the board is great- and answered a lot of my questions.  so glad to have found it!)

Thanks guys for all the info.  Yes, that is so true, there are breaks sometimes and that adds up over time.  I myself have even had many breaks.  I hope one of us starts a new BFP wave really soon though.

I have been around here since the board was created, which was back in 07 while TTC DD.  I still see familiar names of people who have been around since then, or have had success and have returned for another TTC journey.  The old familiar names who have moved on also pop in to say hi.  I think there is some turnover at least yearly, and there are always new people joining in the conversations.

It is time for another TTC35 BFP hurricane though.  Who is going first?
