Hey ladies-
I know it's not much to report, but my meds have been ordered and are going to be delivered on Friday.
After I talked to the pharmacy I e-mailed my little brother (who, as I've said, is the senior pharmacist at this pharmacy that only does fertility meds) and told him who I spoke to. . .
He wrote back "you got a good draw. pete is a good call center guy (despite some questionable facial hair decisions)"
I'm so glad that I have my little brother to talk to and that he is really funny. I already had to ask him a question about whether the meds need to be refrigerated (I think I will be starting the shots when we are away at a music festival).
I know the odds of this working are slim, but I'm excited to start because at the very least it gets me closer to IVF. . .  and the very most is a miracle
Re: meds are ordered. . .
Yay! Either way its a win huh? Either you hit the jackpot and this brings you a BFP or its still the best way to get there b/c it gets you closer to IVF.
What meds are you taking?
That's great that you have your brother to go to with med questions. Hopefully it will take some of the stress out of this.
Good luck!!!
I'm taking gonal f and then the trigger shot (hcg). My doctor wanted to go straight to injectables because of my age. . .
Thanks!

Oooooooooh......so exciting! One step closer to a BFP any way you look at it!!
I'm also taking the same meds (gonal f + ovidrel). My meds come in a big styrofoam cooler.......it looks like I'm going tailgating!! I also have to order my meds through my insurance's specialty pharmacy and boy, I'm so jealous, because I wish I had a contact there! I think they like to play mind games with me every cycle and make it soooooooooo difficult to get the meds. This cycle it took over 10 phone calls to finally get them to ship them...........you're so lucky! I feel so helpless every time.
Just so you know, I also didn't think it would work when I did it the first time (I've read about more failures than successes), and I got a BFP on the 1st try! I'm really hoping this is the cycle that works for you!!
Hello from NJ...where I now live while missing the YEARS I spent living in MA (Quincy, Boston, Cambridge).
Hoping for the best for you (from someone who also describes herself as "wicked old" at times) & hoping we'll not only be celebrating another Red Sox series win
but some healthy, much-wanted pregnancies this year!

Woo hoo for meds being orderd and your brother sounds very cool.
And I had two IUIs this year I didn't think we're going to work at all and both resulted in BFPs. I hope this is your BFP cycle!
