Rollerblading?

So, I have totally been going stir crazy....  I threw my back out a few weeks ago and it is finally starting to feel better.  I haven't been able to work out at all since that happened and I really want to get back into a routine.  Does anyone know if rollerblading is safe this early in pregnancy?  I obviously don't think it would be a good idea once I have a big belly, but it seems like it might be okay during the first trimester...

  • I would think it would be just like any other exercise.  Don't get overheated and don't fall!

  • Sounds okay to me. My husband and I are big into riding our bicycles everywhere for exercise and I checked with my doctor on that and she simply said it was fine for now but like you said not a good idea when I'm bigger, mostly for balance reasons. I imagine rollerblading follows the same guidelines.

    First Ultrasound at 6w2d revealed two sacs, only one with a heartbeat

    LK arrived after 42 weeks on August 14, 2013! Beautiful, healthy, and happy!

    TTC#2: IVF booked for April 2015

    Surprise BFP#5 February 19, 2015 EDD: November 2, 2015

    Betas: 10dpo: 10, 14dpo: 77, 17dpo: 270

    First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation to left fallopian tube.

    JD arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.

  • I was going to start riding my bike on the bike trail near our house but was waiting to get new tires as its really old, but now that I am pg I am afraid of falling. just be super careful/aware of others if you do, its a great workout.
