You've got it! It's Jacqueline. Why are you asking for additional spellings? This worries me a bit. Jacqueline is a beautiful name. No need to change it simply to be unique. It will still sound the same when you call her at the park. And it will only mean that she has to spell it out for people for the rest of her life. Seems like a waste of her time to me... JMHO.
-lynn seems to be added to a lot of girl names lately to honor people's moms and aunts, who are named Lynn, but Jacquelynn to me would put the emphasis on the wrong syllable.
Jacqueline would be the middle name for our daughter. My dad's name was Jack. He passed away last August (the 15th). I'm due this August (the 20th). My husband's name is James and in French Jacqueline is a derivative of Jacques which is the French version of the name James. Just wondering if there were any other spellings that people would throw out there using "Jack" like "Jacklynn" or if that looks ridiculous.
Yes, my DH and I have loved the name Ella since we started even talking about having children. I know it is becoming more popular now, but it wasn't so much so when we fell in love with it many years ago.
So her name will be Ella Jacqueline W.
My last name is a kind of long and very German sounding so a short first name sounds good with it.
Great choice... that's my name! I also have a friend Jackelyn, which just seems wrong. Growing up, I was called Jacquie by my friends, but now I just stick with Jacqueline.
I've seen people spell the name Jaclyn, Jacklyn, Jackleen, and probably a few other variations with "Jack" in the beginning . . . however, I think the spelling is awful and makes the parents using it appear illiterate. While I understand you would be using the alternate spelling to honor your father, I don't think I would honor my father with a bastardized name.
Please use the original and only correct spelling: Jacqueline. It is close enough that your friends and family will understand the connection and it will still have meaning for you.
Part of it depends on how you want the name said. There is "Jack-leen" and "Jack-lynn". The only way I've seen to spell the first is Jacqueline. The second had several common spelling variations.

I would consider the Jacqueline spelling the correct one. I have seen a few variations, but none I'd want to list (lest I give ideas).

Stick w/ Jacqueline. (Which is beautiful)
Any other way makes me think the parents didn't know how to spell.

I'm sorry to hear about your dad; I think you have a great name story for your daughter.
Curious - have you decided on a first name?
