A little girl (about five or six--don't ask why her parents had her in a grocery store at midnight) with a little embroidered backpack on that read "Attalyn." That's one I haven't seen before.

Oh, I've seen Adalyn/Addalyn/Adalin and several other variations; this one seemed notable to me for the Ts--that was certainly a new variation I hadn't thought of. 

I mean, do you think they call her Attie?

With the t's I think of the Grecian name Atticus and it makes it more weird.

You never know what's going on. I'm sure I get side eyes for having DD out late some nights, but if she has an off day and naps from, say 4-6, then she's up until 11 or midnight no matter what I do. May as well go on with my day and get errands done if I can. Keeping her inside isn't going to make her go to sleep any earlier on days like those.

Ick.  I think I met a baby named Matalyn or Mattalyn or something last year.  The mom just said, "Madelyn with a T" when showing off the new baby.

I know an Adalin, he's an adult and from Haiti.  So, it's a male name IMO.  In addition to that, I think that's a horrible spelling.
