S was born 3/3 and came home with us 3/5. We are awaiting formal TPR on the birthfather (LONG story), then finalization should happen shortly thereafter.

We're in limbo...I guess gathering information is what we are even though technically we know for sure we're adopting...we just don't know whether it's domestic or foster-adopt yet since we had a wrench thrown in our plan last week. Put what you think best. :-)

I adopted a 12 year old 8 years ago from Russia.  I am now getting info on foster care and foster/adopt.  Really debating age range this time with little ones involved now.  PRIDE classes are due to start sometime in late Sept.

My DH and I are in the process of adopting from Korea.  We have all of our approvals and are now in the dreaded waiting-for-a-referral period, where we'll probably be for a year or so.

We are doing domestic.  Just recently matched on 07/23/2010.  Mom is due in December but I'm not sure of what date yet or whether its a girl or boy.  We should know more at the ultrasound on 08/05/2010!!

We did a private(US/Agency) IA(Canada/Foster Care) adoption. DD was born 7/31/2007 and she came home to stay on 9/23/2009. We finalized on 4/1/2010.

We are doing a domestic adoption through an agency. Our home study was approved today, so we are officially waiting!

Hey Hanna!  Thanks for doing this.

 

My DH and I are just beginning the inquiry process.  I should be sending in our inital inquiry form today!

We are going either with domestic infant adoption, or adoption of a waiting child.  Probably will decide after our appointment with the adoption specialist.

 Domestic adoption-  matched and waiting for a call any day.  BM's due date July 27 - Aug 7th.

We'll leave CA for Baton Rouge as soon as she goes into labor

 And no gender known!

Matched with Baby Boy born 7/23/2010

Waiting for TPR to be signed by bmom expected to be done tomorrow.

Will then be awarded  partial guardianship until bdad rights are terminated within 90 days

Then going home to begin wait, follow ups, and finalization!

We are just at the beginning of the process of doing a domestic infant adoption. I did research out the wazoo and we have now selected an agency. We cannot sign with the agency until we have been married a year (December 21).
