ultimate crib sheet: did yours shrink?

I bought some, I washed them according to the package instructions. Now the sheet layer is bigger than the waterproof layer, so it bunches up. And also, it doesn't fit well: on both short ends of the crib there is part of the mattress exposed.

Clearly I have to return it. But I'm wondering if I should try again and care for them differently? I feel like these things get such great reviews...

Mine turned out the same way you're describing but they still work fine.

They don't really need to cover the matress end-to-end.  Did you wash it in hot water or dry it on high?  I think I remember the instructions saying not to dry on a high setting b/c it will crack the protective barrier underneath.

As for the bunching, does yours have the elastic snaps that attach to the crib slats?  I've never had any problems with mine.
