Bumbo seats

For anyone that bought a bumbo seat, do you think it's worth it?  They seem kind of expensive new, but I've been looking around on Craig's List and can get one anywhere from $13-$20.  Also, if you do think it's worth it, would you buy 2 or is 1 enough?  My girls are about 3 1/2 months old... thanks!

Our LOs didn't use them that much.  We used them to work on sitting and used the trays to do their first cereal feedings because we didn't have highchairs yet.  DD figured out how to get out of hers when she started working on crawling and that was the end of the Bumbos around here!  We had one for each.

We bought ours at a consignment shop for $15 or $20 each. We loved them and thought that they were the greatest thing for about 2 1/2 months and haven't used them since. Once the boys started sitting on their own there was no use for them. So if you can get them cheap, I'd go for it. Otherwise not worth it new.

I don't think they're worth full price.  My BFF lent me hers and I"m thankful for that.  I only have 1.  We use them once in awhile.  It's helpful for DS2 who has reflux who doesn't get much tummy time.  I believe it has strengthened his neck muscles a lot.  But there are other ways to accomplish that, assisted sitting etc.

We had a pair we got used, but we didn't use them too much, partly because it seemed that DDs would spit up more in them.  I tended to put them in them at the same time, so it was nice having two.  If you can get a couple cheap from CL or a consignment sale (or if you can borrow them, even better!) go for it, but I definitely wouldn't get them new.

One of ours is still in the box if that says anything. They used them at daycare & seemed to like them there but at home I couldn't get them to stay in there for more than a minute or two. Once they could crawl, they did love pushing the seat & the tray all over the room though...
