Amelia Grace

I made a posting before about a bunch of names my Fiance and I liked. We both really like the name Amelia Grace. We would use "Millie" for a nick name.

 Is this name too common?

 Also, our first son will be Emerson McKade. Do those sound good as a sib set?

I love Amelia; however it is on a rising climb. Also Grace is the new Ann, so I don't care for it as a mn due to it being very common.

I love the name Amelia... as you can see from my siggy :-) I know it's slightly on the rise but I will say that around here (Ohio) everyone has said that it's beautiful and different. It's not on the rise here I guess! I say go for it! We aren't using a nickname though... I love the classic sound of the full name.

And yes, Emerson with it sounds great!

Amelia Grace is a lovely name and I think it goes well with Emerson as a sibling set. Amelia is gaining popularity rapidly, though, so keep that in mind (if it will bother you). Otherwise, great choice!

Amelia doesn't feel like it needs a nickname, IMO. Millie is cute, but the Millies I've known are either Mildred or Milagros, never an Amelia.

Love Amelia, but I'm not a fan of the nn Millie. I don't think it makes much sense for Amelia either. I'm indifferent about Grace, it's become such a filler mn.

i love both names that you have picked out!  i think amelia grace has a beautifully classic ring to it (regardless of how popular either name has become), and emerson is a fabulous boy's name.  the middle name for emerson though sounds like a family surname?  if that's the case, you may want to follow suit with your daughter as well?  (my middle name is williams, my brother's is montgomery - both are surnames on my mom's side of the family.)
