IKEA dresser for changing table

Hey there ladies...after reading one of the previous post on the HEMNES dresser and taking a look at both at the store,  I'm debating between the following two IKEA dressers to be used as a changing table:

The IKEA Hemnes:

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50121250

The IKEA Hopen:

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20129592

Sorry...they are not linky..I couldn't get it to work on my browser..

I would love to hear your thoughts, ladies, and maybe some reviews from anyone who owns one of these...especially the Hopen. TIA!

We have the Hemnes in white and used it for our changing table.  Worked out perfectly!  Just put a little bit of foam shelf liner under the pad to keep it from sliding and we were all set.  I loved that I was able to just store all of my diapers/creams/etc. in the top drawers- out of sight but right where I needed them.  I think either of these dressers would work fine- just depends on your decor.

I like the look of the Hemnes better, so that is what we got.  We haven't used it yet, but I love the way it looks in the room and I am sure I will love it after what other have said.

33-34 inches seems a little short for a changing table.  You don't want to be always bending over and perhaps hurting your back.  I would think about the height of you and your husband.

With that being said, I think the Hemnes, at 38", is an inch or 2 too tall for me, but perfect for my husband. I would rather a little tall than short.

We actually went to IKEA last night to look at the dressers and liked that Hemnes.

Those of you that have it and have used it with a child, does it scratch easily?  I like IKEAS stuff, but the quality worries me.

We got the Hemnes 8 drawer in white - the finish is awesome, because it seems to be coated (I don't worry about scratches).

I LOVE the height of the Hemnes dresser for our changing area - both DH & I are tall-enough we are happy we won't have to hunch over to change our LO.

DH & I built it in less than 2 hours (the hardest part was getting all the pieces out of the TWO boxes of parts) and we love, love, love the dresser.

We have the white one and the surface is kind of shiny- very easy to wipe clean.  Still looks brand new. I was more afraid that the darker wood one would scratch but my parents have one and it's been fine.  The only quality issue that we had was with one of the drawers- the front of it kept popping off but DH figured out that it was b/c part of the screw was stripped.  We picked up a new piece at IKEA (they have them at customer service) and its fine now.

my friend got this hemnes 3 drawer one for her changing table and loves it! I love it too and think I will likely go the same way one day. she got a high curved changing pad topper and it doesn't move at all, and looks super cute.

We just got the 3-drawer Hemnes in white and love it so far (though unused at this point!).  It looks great in the room and I would rather it be a little tall than too low.  We also contemplated the Mandel and the Malm but both seemed a little short to us.
