We've been giving DD tylenol at bedtime for teething. I know the back of the bottle says to not give it more than 5 days in a row, but is that different if we're only giving it once a day? I'm pretty sure she's had once a day for 5 days in a row, but nothing is helping right now, and I'd like to try the tylenol. She's been up and crying for 2 hours (DH is with her).

Re: How many nights in a row of tylenol?
If you think that's the only thing that will help then use it. I don't like to like to use it continuously but if it's the only thing that will help then I do. I actually asked a pharmacist this last night...we've been giving DS Ibuprofen just at night to help with teething for the past week and on the package it said not to use over 10 days...she said that as long as you're not giving it around the clock, it's fine. and like the pp said, if she needs more than one dose, you can alternate between Tylenol (acetaminophen) and Motrin (Ibuprofen).
THIS!! Motrin works so much better.
Yeah and it lasts longer than Tylenol! Advil lasts 6 to 8 hours versus 4 hours for Tylenol.
