Possibly Stupid Question

Do MoMs2b feel their babies any earlier than singleton moms2b?  Someone on one of the other boards mentioned that a twin pregnancy could mean feeling kicks earlier, but I just don't see how that would make a difference since it has to do with how big the babies are and not how many, or am I totally wrong?

I didn't start feeling flutters until 20 weeks and even now I only feel the kicks when I am laying down so I actually felt them later.  I think it all depends on how the placentas are etc.  I have three placentas so there's A LOT of placenta in there right now and only 3 lbs of babies.

I think it also depends on if this is your first pregnancy or not. This is my 2nd and I swear I felt flutters very early on. But I think that's cause I knew what to look for. With my first I didn't feel anything till about 18 weeks.  I'm 22 weeks tomorrow and I feel kicks and movement all the time now.

I didn't feel anything until 20 weeks and there were a lot of other ladies with singletons that were feeling theirs before I did.

With JR, I felt movement around 21w and had an anterior placenta.  With Jacob and William, I fetl mvements around 18w and both placentas were posterior.  All in all, I didn't feel as much movement as I expected, I thought with twins it would be pretty constant but that really wasn't the case.

I didn't feel the twins any sooner than I did with Emerson.  It was just about 20 wks with me when I felt babies in both pregnancies.

This exactly. People swear that if it's not your first preg., then you can feel them earlier, but I never did. Same time for both pregnancies.

I read that somewhere too. But I think it has a a lot to do with your body type too.

I think that it had to do with the available space. I felt my twins around 15/16wks, but I really don't know if that was early or not. /blush/
