What are some alternative baby registries? There is www.mydaycareregistry.com which lets you register for people to give you gifts toward day care. What about some others?
I have everything I will need from hand me downs from my sister and people want to give me gifts so they are asking me to register for something I need.

Your sister gave you diaper, wipes, baby medicine, toiletries (shampoo, lotion, etc), and all the other essentials you need for a baby?
I agree w/pp - take a look at the other thread. You'll see that there are PLENTY of things to register for.
we're using www.depositagift.com it's amazing! i think it's great to do something different. we don't want our place to look like BRU threw up in it and we'd prefer intangibles to make baby's life more interesting and enriched vs. more 'stuff'. once friends have seen it and 'get' it they have really loved the idea of contributing to an experience and cutting down on waste. we have a small traditional registry for some basics that we absolutely do need and we can list it on our deposit a gift site - it's like a wedding website, but for baby. it's definitely worth checking out if you're looking for alternatives to fit your lifestyle.
Re: Alternative baby registries
It's basicaly a way to register for cash- assuming you use the money towards future daycare... not a fan.
I'm not a fan where you ask for cash (similiar to a honeymoon registry).
What types of things are you looking for?
Amazon has a baby registry and they literally have everything under the sun.
I have the same problem. People gave me great advice in another post- I'm going to register for diapers, wipes, medical supplies, ect
Also I think many people like to pick out a "new" outfit for the baby...and books! I loved the idea of baby books
