We had a scare today

I noticed last night that Gideon wasn't moving around as often as usual, but figured I'd just ask at my OB appt on Friday. I got up this morning and DH and I had to go pick up some parts for our car, and when we made a bathroom stop, I was bleeding.

I called my OB, and the nurse told me to go straight to the hospital. Luckily where we were at the time was about 25 minutes closer to the hospital than our house! When we got there they put me in a birthing room. For some reason I automatically thought "oh no, I'm going to lose him" ( how they could know just from looking and not doing any examining, I have no idea..). I was crying like an idiot, thinking about when Gabe was born, and I think everyone thought I was crazy.

Long story short, they couldn't find a source of the bleeding, and just told me it's probably because he likes to kick me in the cervix all the time. His heart rate was great the whole time, and as soon as we got there he started kicking up a storm.  It was just terrifying because we found out about Gabe's heart defect the same way.

At least I know he's ok, right?

    Thanks everyone! I have my 23 week appointment tomorrow, so at least I can see what my OB says too. I'll let you all know what happens when I get back.

    ..and thanks for the compliment on his name! I'm not sure where we came up with it, but once we had it, we knew it had to be his name. Our families don't like it, and I have no clue why!
