Not good, ladies. Not good at all. I'm trying to type this through my tears...

Clayli's cervix is down to 0.5cm and funneling. There is also some kind of particles floating around in there (in amniotic fluid, maybe? We didn't get a chance to talk much, so my details are sketchy.) But the particles most likely indicate there's an infection. And with an infection, there's nothing anyone can do. The cerclage is absolutely out of the question.

They're giving her a 50/50 chance of making it to 24 weeks. And basically no chance of going further than that.

I don't know anymore... I'm so sorry. We had like a 2 minute conversation and she had to go. If she calls back with more, I'll let you know.

Please pray for her and her girls. She's just devastated right now.... :-(

    Oh I am so sorry to hear that.  Is she staying at UAB or going home to be admitted?  She'll be in my prayers along with her little girls.

    Oh God. This is awful. My heart is breaking for her, her H, and those precious little girls. Thoughts and prayers to all of them.

    Oh, crap.  That's terrible.  I am praying for her and her babies.

    2 years TTC with 5 losses, 1 year recovering, 6 months applying for adoption approval, and almost a year waiting for a placement. Then, a miracle BFP at age 36!

    Oh my gosh that is just horrible!! I really hope she can make it to at least 24 weeks so they have a chance!!
